The name Kairos comes from the ancient Greek word for the right or opportune moment. Unlike chronos, which refers to chronological or measurable time, kairos signifies the perfect moment of action, the decisive instant when talent, preparation, and opportunity converge.
By naming the competition “Kairos,” we embrace this philosophy: every performance is not just about playing notes, but about seizing the moment — that special time when music speaks directly to the hearts of both performer and audience.
